Federal Scientific Center for Psychological and Interdisciplinary Research

The Psychological Institute of the Russian Academy of Education was the first in Russia and the third in the world research psychological institution. The Institute was founded by Professor of the Moscow University Georgy Ivanovich Chelpanov. The Institute began its work in September 1912.

Currently, Psychological Institute RAE is the largest scientific and psychological research institution of Russia, scientific departments of PI conduct extensive psychological researches, from the study of fundamental problems of theory and history of psychology, the laws of development and regulation of the psyche to the practice-oriented development of problems of human development in specific activities (communication, play, learning and professional activities, etc.).
